Program 需求

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution with a cumulative 平均绩点2.0或更高.
  • 至少2.0 GPA earned in every nursing course, as well as any required ADN courses.
  • Thirty-five credits of general education requirements from previous ADN 程序 (for distribution of all general education credits). NOTE: If you have not completed a statistics course, chemistry course and the required humanities credits you will need to complete these courses concurrently while in the RN转BSN 程序.
  • Current unencumbered RN licensure in Washington state. Experience as an RN for at least one year is 首选.

    • Including AD Program (upload unofficial transcript - official transcript will be submitted after admission).
  • Professional reference (academic or supervisor within the last year).
  • Two admissions essays:
    • What are your professional goals and how do you believe that obtaining a BSN will impact or improve your future practice? (最多1000字)
    • Describe the most pressing healthcare needs in rural North Central Washington, and identify how you might address those needs as a BSN-prepared nurse (最多1000字)
  • Pay application fee of $50 to the cashier's office (Wenatchi Hall). 

预期

  • You will need to have a statistics course for the second quarter of the RN转BSN 程序.
    • WVC提供数学课程& 146 Introduction to Statistics.
    • Prior to the fall-start 2014 程序, nursing students at WVC were required to take 数学100 Technical Math for Allied Health instead of statistics.
  • You will need to have a chemistry course.
    •  WVC提供CHEM& 121 Introduction to Chemistry.
  • You will need to have at least 5 credits of Humanities
  • If these courses have not been completed prior to starting the RN转BSN 程序, you will need to take them concurrently with your nursing courses.
    • This may require you to do the 程序 as a part time student.

This 程序 is roughly 80% online and 20% in-person.  The in-person days are mandatory.
