Inaugural Native American Classic December 8-10

 

The inaugural Native American Classic (NAC) will be December 8-10 at the Town Toyota Center. This event is presented by the Colville Tribes Youth Development Program and hosted by the 皇冠8868会员登录 Valley College 基金会. The three-day basketball tournament will include 15 games of high school and community college teams from across the Pacific 西北.

In addition to the basketball games, the NAC will include an opening prayer and land acknowledgement at 12:00 p.m. 12月 8, a team parade at 6:00 p.m. 12月 8, and a celebration led by the Colville Tribes Youth Development Program at 3:20 p.m. 12月9日.

The tournament and cultural events are open to the public. Tickets will be sold at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for children. All tickets are day passes.  

“I can’t express enough how excited I am to have my colleagues here with their collegiate teams and student athletes sharing their talents and time with Native student athletes,” said WVC athletic director Matthew Vargas. “The Indigenous cultural presentations and Native song, dance and drumming performances will only enhance our celebration 土著青年.
